The present work focused on the problem of the centuriation's transmission and transformation over the centuries, and intends to answer some questions such as: why this "ancient" agrarian system is it still visible in the present landscape, and in which way environmental and hydrographical features, as well as human settlements, have influenced this process? The methodological approach and the preliminary results of the PhD research are presented.
